The Best Bloggers About the Writing Process

I am always on the lookout for easy to use and up to date blogs about writing.  I have found some excellent sites that are good for authors at all levels. My criteria are easy to find links, specific immediate suggestions for the entire manuscript development, and the site is updated regularly.

Here are the best in reverse order:

#3 A Writer’s Diary

I am a little bummed as this active site suddenly stopped updating last October. Still though you will find dozens of great style tips centered on the topics of Editing and Publishing Essentials. Ricky Bruce, author of the blog is a children’s author/educator himself and his suggestions are spot on and immediately helpful.

#2 From The Mixed Up Files of Middle Grade Authors

Don’t be scared away at the title. The information is helpful to all. From links to articles about Getting Started through the Publication process you will find helpful tips and techniques that will make your story shine.

And #1 The Other Side of the Story

Janice Hardy is an author of science fictions and fantasy for teens. She felt a real need to compile ready to use strategies for writers at all stages of the process. Wow, did she ever succeed. You will find her index the best place to begin. Instantly your manuscript will jump several steps up in quality. I know mine did.

Enjoy!
