Here are a few news and special feature articles I’ve enjoyed this week:
- Tim Federle speaks about NATE EXPECTATIONS and the closing of his Broadway themed series.
- Middle Grade Murders? The writer of this blog piece is disturbed by the trend in MG books. See if you agree with what she says.
- Publisher’s Weekly focuses on Middle Grade Books with two interesting articles:
- Booksellers Navigate New Trends in Middle Grade.
- Booksellers Share Tips for Selling and Publishing Middle Grade.
That’s all for now. I’ll be back Friday with the the last stop on the Blot Tour for SPOOKED!
Wonderful articles this week. Lots to think about. I’m particularly interested in the article on murder in MG writing. That is a line I didn’t think would be crossed so soon. It makes me sad that murder is becoming so commonplace for this age reader and, in some cases, not being handled well. Thanks for the links. I look forward to your review of Spooked. I love that book.
Yes, I agree. Violence in children’s lives is a reality and I hear about it much too often.
