Well, I can’t say just yet. The past month I’ve been a part of a five-member panel of judges critiquing the seven finalists for the CYBILS 2018 Middle Grade Fiction award. Here’s the wonderful lineup we were presented with:

I have work to do. Of these, I have only read The Miscalculations of Lightning Girl. I look forward to seeing which book wins.
Getting five people to agree on one title can be a challenge, but this year we were all pleased with our selection.
I’ve only read two of these books! Loved Harbor Me, as it was a unique read. I love Harbor Me! I have some reading to do!
I nominated a book in the Senior High Nonfiction category that is a finalist — am hopeful!
I’m looking forward to all of the results. My group got through the final discussion fairly easily. I’m sure other groups spent most of the weekend choosing their title.
