It’s the time of the year when you start thinking about possible holiday gifts for your middle grade readers, Here are two fantastic offerings plus a chance to win both! First up is The Agatha Case Files: The Vampire of Mount Drakk

The 8 mysteries are set up to be solved in an interactive way. Visual clues and text get one to the correct answer. Each case opens up with an introductory page before you start the investigation. Unfold the next pages to reveal your mission:

The final page in each case hopefully leads you to the correct answer. No worries if you are stuck as solutions are provided in the last pages of the book.

Not only will you need visual concentration but also critical thinking skills. It’s one of those books that will keep you focused for hours in the fun challenges. Perfect for those holiday trips and upcoming breaks from school, especially for those who like solving mysteries using logic and visual clues. This is the second book in the series that started off with The Agatha Case Files: Welcome to Kittyville!

The second book is another unique learning experience with The Ultimate Book of Mythical Creatures.

The 12th book in the Ultimate Book uses mythology and folklore as the basis for an interactive look at mythical creatures.

If you are not familiar with this series, don’t expect a boring description buried in pages of text. What’s great about the presentation here are the colorful illustrations of each creature like unicorns, mermaids, centaurs, and many more. But wait, adding to the learning experience are 50+ moveable parts.

There are surprises on every page as you learn about the tales with hands on learning. Look no further if you are someone who can’t sit still reading a regular novel. You’ll be oohing and ahhing at what unfolds.
